Dear supporters, friends and students of the venerable Dhammadipa!!

Welcome on the website which maps the activities of the Venerable by spreading of Dhamma. I believe, they contribute the exceptional qualities of the Venerable to make them more usable for the good of all pupils.

You will find here recordings and scripts of the Venerable Dhammadipa lectures, Venerable's biography, calendar of his actions, his projects and more.

Ordinations in three traditions of Buddhism Zen, Theravada and Mahayana show the Venerable’s direction of many years of meditation practice and consistent study. His teaching is based on one observation: “There is only one Buddhism" and the individual schools are just those famous fingers pointing at the moon.

Venerable Dhammadipa hopes and believes that the arrival of Buddhism to the West gives us a chance to understand it again as a single whole where different views complement each other.

Except the lectures and courses of the Venerable Dhammadipa it is also worth mentioning his translation activities. The extraordinary linguistic knowledge and his own spiritual experience of Theravada and Mahayana provide Venerable the opportunity of a perfect translation from the original texts. He has been writing and translating Buddhist text into French and Czech. His translated works into Czech include Entry into the Bodhisattva Path (Bodhicaryavatara), Treatise on the Awakening of Faith in the Mahayana (Mahayanasraddhotpada-sastra) and Sutra of Untying the Knots (Sandhinirmocanasútra).  In other languages we can mentione a Collection of Han-San’s Poems (in German and Czech) or edition of his lectures from Honkong University (in Chinese).

Not only lectures, translations and courses are given to the Venerable World but also his important personal help needed in India, which we refer to it as the "Sakarwadi" section.

But Bhante does not forget even his homeland. He founded the DHAMMADIPA Foundation account where he so far collected funds he has received from foreign donors and also from teachings at foreign universities. The aim of the foundation and among the other things is the construction of the Shanta Van meditation centre for all Buddhist groups - in the spirit of his thesis that "There is only one Buddhism." We refer to these in the sections "DHAMMADIPA Foundation" and "Shanta Van".

Dear all, I would like this site to bring you all joy, information and incentives to supporters, friends and students of the Reverend Dhammadída. I will therefore be grateful for any suggestions and comments!

May this site be of use!
